About the UIGEA
The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA), signed into law by President Bush on October 13, 2006, makes it illegal for online gambling sites to accept funds or wagers from the United States if the underlying gambling activity violates existing federal, state or tribal law. The law does not make the player liable in any way, but makes the site liable for accepting funds or wagers associated with illegal Internet gambling.
As an online poker player located in the United States, you are not violating the UIGEA or any other federal law, but you may be violating state or tribal law depending on the laws of the state or Native American Reservation where you are located. It is the player's responsibility to determine the legality of playing Internet poker under the law where he is located.

ePassporte
Visa
MasterCard
Cashier's Check or Money Order
Which deposit method does PokerStars suggest I use?
We are happy to help you choose the deposit method that is right for you. PokerStars recommends using ePassporte which is a reliable, safe and convenient way to transfer money to your account.
ePassporte is a pre-paid and re-loadable virtual Visa online account. With ePassporte, you can login to your online ePassporte account then transfer funds from your Visa, MasterCard or bank account into your ePassporte account.
Once you've loaded your ePassporte account, you can then visit the PokerStars Cashier and make an ePassporte deposit. The funds will immediately be transferred from your ePassporte account into your PokerStars account.
If you have any questions about ePassporte, please visit our ePassporte web page or email us at

How can I cash out from PokerStars now?
You have the following options to receive your funds:
You can receive a Check
You can receive your funds credited to your ePassporte account after you've made one ePassporte deposit
I also thought I would mention that you can use pre-paid debit cards to play as well. If you go to Walgreens, they have a pre-paid VISA card you can purchase called the "Gift2Go" card. They come in $30 , $50 and $100 increments plus sales tax. In my opinion, this is the easiest way to deposit since it just takes a simple trip to the store. As far as cashing out, they will send a check to you in the mail.
