I like to chip up early in 180 man tournys and MTT. When the blinds are 10/20 I will push AA, AK and KK and the reason below is an example of why. I just busted AA because he made a small pre-flop raise. He re-raised my post flop bet at which point I put him on AK or KQ. I called the extra 140 to see the turn. I made top 2 pair. He pushed I called, gg him. I prefer to win 30 chips at 10/20 blinds then to lose 1500. He ultimately pushed all in so why not do so pre-flop this early in the game.
My biggest problem is late in the tourny I make such stupid bets. I'll have 35x BB and push AK for no reason pre-flop to be called by 10-10 and lose half or more of my stack. This is a problem I am trying to fix but I am stubborn.
