Variance has been KILLING me!  I play on average approximately 3 tournys or SnG’s a day and the beats have been unreal to say the least.  Angry

I know I posted early on about my play deep in a tourney and that’s a different issue.  I’m talking hour 1, 2 and 3 has been unreal.

I don’t expect to win or make the money every tourney (wish I could) but the beats EVERY TOURNEY have just been absolutely unreal.

Here are a few examples:

22.00 buy in MTT………..1st hand……….AK…….I lose minimal chips (500) to AQ (he showed)………2nd hand KK I bust out to A5 soooooooooooooted who hits his flush on the river.  A5 calls a push on the turn for a total of 2400 chips……….gg me.

10.00 buy in MTT………1st hand TT…….Flop 6109……..semi scary flop…..I over bet pot….1 caller…..turn J…….I push he calls and shows Ks 4d……..river Q………gg me……Im like WTF!!!!!!!!!!  He said I thought you were bluffing man…!!!.......!!!

10.00 buy in MTT………..2nd hour……..55 vs 9s10d……….flop 1053 with 2 diamonds…..He bets out, I come over the top he pushes…….I call…..turn is a diamond, river a diamond and he wins with a flush, 10 high and cripples me bad……..

My poker friends say “dude you want those calls” and I agree, but not when EVERY tourney I lose to them it’s getting a bit out of control…….

I cant just fold and fold because someone raises or fold to a push or not push when I have the best hand going in……

Any comments……..

Sorry but VENTING, PISSING AND MOANING LIKE A LITTLE CRY PANTS is awesome.!  Lmao  Grin

That's tournament life for ya.  People are willing to gamble a lot more in tournaments because the most anyone can lose is their buy-in, and the whole point of a tournament is to be the last man standing.  With those mindsets, you can expect people to push a lot more often in tournaments than in a normal cash game.  More than likely, in a cash game, your Cowboys would have held up against that suited A-5.  Although getting sucked out on sucks big time, that's just the luck part of poker.  Once all the chips go in the middle and there are still cards to come, it's all up to lady luck unless you have the absolute nuts!

I have many horror stories from tournaments, so don't feel too bad.   Grin
