During the month of October Lucky Star is doing a $500 added, $55.00 Freeze Out Tourney1, Monday - Thursday evening @ 7 pm.

I played on Monday night and it was a good tourney with about 30 players. They had Monday Night Football on several large screens in the poker room, and a Freeplay Football Squares Pool.

Traeko, and others, have been discussing getting together for a live play tourney, I suggest that rather than trying to set up 'our own' we just join in to this existing tourney. If we can get 15 + people added into the already seated 30 or so, we have a bigger pot to play for and maybe some new recruits for our games...

Anyway, I'll be there next Monday, hope to see some of y'all come out.

Drawing Dead...as usual,

Cos (pokerstars: cosc)

1 $40 buy in + $10 fee for 1000pts to start + a $5 "dealer appreciation fee" to get another 1000 at the beginning = $55.00

This certainly doesn't sound like a bad plan at all. There are several weekly tournaments via several casinos that have guaranteed prize pools. I think we need to figure out which night of the week would be the best for everyone and see what we can find.

I want to be clear that I am just suggesting this as a 'starting point' there is no reason that it "Has to be" this  casino, this tourney or this day... I just know that some folks are wanting this group to do some 'live action' and I know this is a 'decent little tourney' that is proximate to some of us, so I threw it out as a starting point.

Besides... If I can cash at this little tourney (and I did this week) most of y'all ought to come in and clean up  Cheesy

I really like the idea of converging en mass on some of the area tournaments.  LuckyStar is a bit of a drive for me, but what the heck.....all in the name of poker.

I still say we need to get some hats or t-shirts done up.  I doesn't do any good to show up unless everyone knows who we are.
