"He who laughs last is the slowest"

« on: April 06, 2007, 10:13:57 AM »
Played live last night at Osage and this was the run I had

1-2NL got busted within 30 minutes when first my QQ gets cracked by JJ.  Followed up by a flopped nut straight (I have KQ and the flop comes AJ10) with two hearts on the board, I go all in to protect the straight and get one caller who calls with AK no hearts.  Because he calls the villian who is last to act says man I was going to fold but there's too much money out there now so calls with 24 hearts. (My K is a heart but not the Q) turn is a blank but river of course is the 3 of hearts to bust me.  I walk away to gather my thoughts and punch out some puppies and kittens then come back to play 30$ tourney.  Bust out when my Q's run itno AK and flop spikes K.  Of course I should do the responsible thing and lick my wounds and leave but that just wouldn't be me.  I buyin at the 1-2 again and get my AA cracked by KK.  KK is shortstacked and I put him allin before the flop.  Another player says man I folded AK to my raise.  Of course the flop spikes case K for the shortstack.  All employees take all sharp instruments away from me (Plastic spork was very close).  I say to myself that poker is the best community service I've ever done.  Look how many people I've made happier this night than they were before they came to the casino.  Variations of this theme goes on most of the night.  Every hand I lost I was ahead or WAY ahead when the money got in there.  My work here is done.

I must say that it was one of the sickest runs of bad luck I've had in a while.  You know it's bad when the waitress is offering you drinks and asks you NOT to tip her cause she feels bad for you.    Roll Eyes

lol... Grin pure poetry my friend..pure poetry.

I have had runs like that.  I played perfect for over 2 weeks where I never had a losing session then went on a 2 day bender of bad luck and I was back to even.  Blah.  this game.  Huh

Man, that was a brutal night.

BTW, I had a post in reply to the pitcher who went and pitched a tent next to the fence, and it isn't on here anymore. Either that, or I didn't hit post. Oh well.
